LiteDesign is a free (in both senses of the word) CAD tool for designing stage lighting sets. It is aimed at lighting for theatre productions, but it can be used for almost any type of stage lighting.
- Easy-to-use interface
- Rendering capabilities to approximate the area a light will cover and show how the design will look in 3D
- 24 different channels to patch lights into, with a maximum of two lights per channel
- An editor to create different grids on which to put lights

The latest version includes a few minor bug fixes, but most notably now has support for up to 256 lights on each grid. Unfortunately, there is a problem with the update feature from version 3.2.1, but this should be fixed fairly soon.

LiteDesign 3.2.1 released

The latest version of LiteDesign includes a new facility which can be used to update the program automatically, without the need for going to the SourceForge project page and downloading files manually. The "web update" button appears on the tools menu, and automatically updates the program from the SourceForge download servers.
